About the role
We’re looking for a motivated, experienced dog grooming salon manager to lead the team at our busy Cranleigh salon. The salon prides itself on providing a safe, clean and comfortable environment for our clients’ pets, and we need a passionate, skilled manager to oversee daily operations and keep customer satisfaction at the highest level.
What you’ll do
- Manage and supervise the grooming team, making sure every service meets our standards and procedures
- Carry out your own grooms to the highest standards
- Schedule and coordinate appointments to keep the day running smoothly
- Give exceptional customer service — answering questions, resolving concerns and making sure every client is happy
- Oversee stock management and ordering of supplies, equipment and products
- Keep the salon clean and safe, and make sure every dog is properly cared for
- Manage staff rotas and make sure the team is trained in proper grooming techniques
- Stay up to date with grooming trends and techniques, and introduce new services where appropriate
What you’ll need
- At least 2 years’ experience managing a busy dog grooming salon
- City & Guilds Level 3 qualification (or equivalent)
- Excellent communication skills with staff, clients and suppliers
- Strong leadership — able to motivate and inspire a team
- Knowledge of dog breeds, grooming techniques and equipment
- Great organisation and attention to detail, and the ability to juggle priorities
